Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), you have the right to dispute any inaccurate or incomplete information in your consumer report. IES provides a process for reviewing and correcting information to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal law.
Continuous Court Monitoring Services
The FCRA grants you the right to:
- Dispute inaccurate or incomplete information in your consumer report
- Have the information reviewed and investigated at no cost to you
- Receive a response within 30 days (or 45 days in certain cases)
- Have incorrect or unverifiable information corrected or removed
- Be informed of the results of the investigation
Who Can File a Dispute?
You may submit a dispute if:
- You have reviewed your IES consumer report and believe there is incorrect or incomplete information
- You believe outdated or unverifiable information appears on your report
- You were denied employment, housing, or other opportunities based on your report
