Addressing inaccurate or incomplete information in your consumer report

Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), you have the right to dispute any inaccurate or incomplete information in your consumer report. IES provides a process for reviewing and correcting information to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal law.

Continuous Court Monitoring Services

The FCRA grants you the right to:

  • Dispute inaccurate or incomplete information in your consumer report
  • Have the information reviewed and investigated at no cost to you
  • Receive a response within 30 days (or 45 days in certain cases)
  • Have incorrect or unverifiable information corrected or removed
  • Be informed of the results of the investigation
 
 

Who Can File a Dispute?

You may submit a dispute if:

  • You have reviewed your IES consumer report and believe there is incorrect or incomplete information
  • You believe outdated or unverifiable information appears on your report
  • You were denied employment, housing, or other opportunities based on your report
